Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur celebrated its Investiture Ceremony with great pride and solemnity on 3rd July, 2026. Held in the school premises, the ceremony marked the formal induction of the newly elected Student Council and House Office Bearers for this academic year. The Investiture Ceremony commenced with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest Sri K Harish, Chairman VVI who was escorted to the ceremony ground by the school band in a dignified procession.
The celebration began with a specially planned assembly. An array of programmes was meticulously planned and executed.
The day started with the ‘hoisting of the School Flag’ followed by the school anthem. The programme commenced with an inspirational song by students of Std V &VI that was euphonious and pure melody. The Academic Coordinator delivered the welcome address in which the gathering was warmly greeted and significance of the Investiture Ceremony was highlighted.
The most awaited moment of the ceremony was the distribution of badges and sashes to the newly elected Student Council and House Office Bearers. The Chairman VVI, Sri K. Harish Sir conferred the badges upon the newly elected school leaders, symbolising the trust and responsibility entrusted to them.
The badge distribution was followed by the solemn Oath-taking Ceremony, where the newly elected leaders pledged to uphold the values of the school and discharge their duties with integrity, discipline, and dedication. Thereafter, the student leaders proudly presented the Guard of Honour, followed by a disciplined and impressive March Past by the students of all four houses – Keerthi, Shakthi, Shanthi, Bhakthi, reflecting unity, confidence, and teamwork.
The gathering was then addressed by the Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, and Vice Captains, who expressed their gratitude for the confidence placed in them and shared their vision and goals for the academic year. Their speeches reflected a strong sense of commitment and responsibility towards the school community.
The Chief Guest of the day, in his inspiring address, congratulated the newly appointed leaders and encouraged them to lead with humility, sincerity, and a spirit of service. He reminded the students that leadership is not merely a position of authority but an opportunity to inspire others through exemplary actions.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks proposed by the Vice Principal, VVSV, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chairman, dignitaries, parents, staff members, students and everyone involved for their presence and support in making the ceremony a grand success. The event came to a close with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired to uphold the values of leadership, discipline, and service.
