Envornment Day Celebrations 2026

‘Preserve and Cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we have ever known’
World Environment Day 2026, with the theme ‘Inspired by nature- for climate and for our future’ was
celebrated in the school premises on 15th June 2026, with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to
environmental conservation.

The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting nature and
preserving a healthy environment for future generations. The celebration began with a prayer followed by a welcome address by Parinitha of class 7, encompassingthe relevance of environment.

A melodious environment-themed song was then performed by the school choir. The song emphasized the
beauty of nature and inspired everyone to work together for a greener and cleaner planet.
A thought-provoking skit was presented by the students of classes 3 and 4, highlighting the alarming effects
of pollution and how to combat the undesirable consequences it can pose to us and upcoming generations.
The skit showcased the plight of air, water, and soil, each portrayed as a suffering victim of human
negligence. Through expressive dialogue and powerful emotions, the performers highlighted the effect of
pollutants on our natural resources. The actors effectively conveyed the message that polluted soil affects
agriculture, biodiversity, and human health.

The skit concluded with an appeal to adopt eco-friendly habits, reduce pollution, and work collectively to
protect our planet. The act highlighted that every small action matters. When millions of people make
sustainable choices, the impact is enormous. Climate change is caused by human activities, but it can also be
solved by human ingenuity and determination.

Smt. K. Leela Padma, the Principal, addressed the gathering and emphasized upon the importance of
environmental awareness. Mam encouraged students to become responsible citizens by practising
sustainability, reducing plastic use, and participating actively in environmental protection initiatives.
The programme concluded with a Green pledge led by Diganth of class 7.

The students prepared placards and posters showcasing the importance of nature in our lives and the dire
necessity to conserve mother earth. The “Environment Day Rally” was conducted using the same placards
and the entire campus echoed with the slogans to conserve mother Earth.

The event was both educational and inspiring, reinforcing the message that protecting the environment is a
shared responsibility. The programme successfully encouraged students to become active participants in
creating a sustainable future.
