Research and Development (R&D) at Pre-Primary Level

The R&D Department at the Pre-Primary level of Vagdevi Vilas School, Varthur, organized engaging activities designed to ignite curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Emphasizing “learning by doing and observing,” these initiatives created an immersive, hands-on environment for young learners to explore, experiment, and discover.

Key activities included growing plants, observing the lifecycle of a butterfly, and conducting simple water experiments, fostering real-world connections. Sensory play with sand, water, and clay enhanced fine motor skills, while storytelling, and role-play developed confidence and communication. STEAM-based tasks, nature walks, and art and craft projects encouraged logical reasoning, creativity, and environmental awareness.

Cultural activities around festivals and group games cultivated empathy, teamwork, and respect for diversity.
